Bio

The 21 year old from Avignon has been associated with Kawasaki since he dominated the French 85cc scene in his youth and he attracted worldwide attention when he won the class at the famous Paris-Bercy Supercross in 2009 just a couple of months after a broken radius had prevented him from winning the World Junior title.

In 2011 his career took another step as he dominated the European MX2 series, only to lose the title by a slender three points after being forced to sit out the Latvian round through injury. But he confirmed his readiness to move up to the MX2 World Championship with a top ten placing as a wild card entry at the final GP of the year.

Even a broken leg which forced him to miss the final two GPs of his rookie GP season in 2012 could not prevent Dylan finishing the series tenth with his first GP podium, and the following summer he won the hearts of the French fans with a stunning second place at his home GP, a feat he was to repeat in the tortuous sand of the season-ending Dutch GP.

Having served his apprenticeship with Kawasaki Bud Racing, Dylan transferred to full factory support with CLS Kawasaki Monster Energy in 2014 and immediately won the opening GP moto of the series in Qatar; a further thirteen podium finishes saw him ranked fourth in the world at the end of the series. Dylan also played a significant role in the French victory at the Motocross of Nations, the season-ending contest for national teams, to confirm him as a leading candidate for the 2015 world title.

He confirmed this promise to complete the early season round of overseas GPs as joint series leader, but a freak incident at round six in Spain saw him severely damage ligaments and meniscus in his left knee after stubbing the ground with his boot. He required surgery and missed the remainder of the term.

Kawasaki had long recognised the Supercross skills of the young Frenchman and has signed a contract for Dylan to move to the USA in 2017, so this year will mark his final GP campaign but, fully prepared after a long convalescence and winter preparation in sunny California, he is a respected candidate for world title honours.
