The 21 year old already has huge experience of the FIM World MX2 Motocross Championship as he has raced the GPs since 2010 in the wake of promising results in the 85cc and 125cc youth classes. Already in 2011 he scored a top five moto finish in his favourite sandy going, but a lack of suitable machinery saw his career stagnate in the following years as he remained regularly amongst the lower points scorers. Given the opportunity to race genuine factory bikes for the first time when he joined Kawasaki in the middle of last year’s campaign, Petar immediately raced into the top ten when he made his debut in green at the British GP despite only having a few hours on the bike prior to the event. He followed this up in the remaining GPs with a string of top six performances on all surfaces to earn his first-ever end-of-year top ten world ranking.

With a full winter to prepare physically and dial in his KX250F Petar, whose mid-mannered intelligent nature has already made him an extremely popular member of the team, is expected to be a permanent top six runner this summer, chasing down podiums and victories.
